i liked the closeness of the park but thought it was more central than it is , breakfast was good value for money, staff was friendly
room was very small and the whole Hotel seem to be done nice enough but on the cheap side....
Nice quiet location, easily accessible by bus from Glasgow airport, good clean rooms, friendly local staff, good breakfast
Comfortable stay, no problems, breakfast good, room adequate for our needs.
Trendy design, extremely comfortable, clean room. Very tasty breakfast! Perfect location, quiet street and walking distance to city centre and west end.
Very friendly efficient staff member
the location, you're close to downtown, but far as well from downtown, close to a beautiful park and west end, very cozy and practical hotel. Staff were attentif and pleasant and very good value.
As always a superb stay at the Acorn, receptionist/cook is a hoot, rooms are exceptionally comfortable and very chic, modern decor. Fantastic value for money, and free WiFi too. Location is perfect, right next to Kelvingrove Park, a short walk to Bath Street and a short bus ride to the trendy West End or shopping in the city centre!
Lovely chic design and clean tidy appearance set away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Hotel was absolutely spotless and the welcome on arrival was warm and friendly. I had the breakfast which was very good with plenty to choose from. No sign of cheap brands. I had a room on the second floor which was very clean and well presented with plenty of weveything you would expect in your room, ie towels, shower gel, soap, tea, coffee, milk etc. The bed was very comfortable and the furniture in the room was well presented. I would strongly recommend the hotel for business or leisure.
When booking on line you never can be sure of what to expect, we were delighted with the staff (Charlie) and the rooms. If we visit Glasgow again, we will book with you. Sally Scott 0783 772 9659
My colleque felt the price for breakfast was too high. We didnt have breakfast, but we also thought £8 was too high, and ate just down the Road.
I assumed the Acorn Hotel was a 4* and was bitterly disappointed to find that it was not. I did not like the fact that the bar was closed when we arrived around 10.45 and there was no room service offered. Neither did I like the fact that over the weekend breakfast finished at either 9.30 or 10am which to my mind is crazy. I was very disappointed with the Acorn Hotel and I think the ad on Bookings.com is utterly misleading.
The hotel is well placed in the west side of town, 15 minutes from the city centre. The single room that I stayed in was quiet and comfortable.
Helpful staff when we arrived and when we needed the room early for getting changed for an event.
Wall thin and coould hear a lot of next room activity
My room is 15,a single comfortable room. The most important thing is very very clean.Good interior trim.
A comfortable and clean hotel, convenient to the places we wanted to see in Glasgow and also to a wide range of eating places.
The breakfast was adequate but, compared to most other hotels, the range was limited. As other meals are not provided at the hotel, more information should be provided to guests about good local restaurants and their location.
